This level 3 certificate in Dementia Care is for those whose job role is working with people with dementia, and aims to give workers the ability to develop their skills and demonstrate their competence in this area

How is this qualification structured?

The qualification is made up of four main mandatory units:

• • A/601/9191 Enable rights and choices of individuals with dementia whilst minimising risks
  • F/601/4686 Equality, diversity and inclusion in dementia care practice
  • J/601/3538 Understand the process and experience of dementia
  • Y/601/4693 Understand and enable interaction and communication with individuals who have dementia

  How is it assessed?

  This qualification is assessed via an internally assessed and externally verified portfolio of evidence, plus a multiple choice examination.
