How is this qualification structured?
The qualification is made up of nine mandatory, and 6 optional, units:
• Unit 1 Responsibilities of a care worker
• Unit 2 Promote communication in care settings
• Unit 3 Promote person-centred approaches in care settings
• Unit 4 Promote effective handling of information in care settings
• Unit 5 Safeguarding and protection in care settings
• Unit 6 Duty of care in care settings
• Unit 7 Promote personal development in care settings
• Unit 8 Promote health, safety and wellbeing in care settings
• Unit 9 Promote equality and inclusion in care settings
How is it assessed?
This qualification is assessed via an internally assessed and externally verified portfolio of evidence.
Funding for our qualifications
This qualification is available fully funded under the Adult Skills Fund stream and is free to the candidate.
